Unicorn Travels

You can find our office over at P- 559 Lake Road in Kolkata. We have been based here for a long time, right in the Lake Road area where there is always a lot of people walking past. Unicorn Travels is a small, basic office, mostly consisting of a couple of metal desks and some old maps pinned to the wall. We spend the whole day on the telephone or looking at complicated flight schedules on the computer screen. It can get a bit stressful when a trip goes wrong for someone, but we just try to sort it out one phone call at a time. The office definitely has that old Kolkata feel to it. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a loud clicking noise that we have just learned to ignore. We do not have any fancy travel brochures with glossy pictures sitting out on tables. It is mostly just us helping people figure out how to get from one place to another without too much of a headache. We usually take a break in the afternoon when the sun hits the front window particularly hard. Being near the lake is quite nice for a quick walk if things get too crowded or noisy inside the office. People come in to ask about train tickets or car rentals for local weddings. We are just a local spot for travel help.
