We’ve been operating out of this first-floor space on Short Street for a good while now. If you know where the back gate of St. Xavier's College is, then you know exactly where we are. It’s a busy little corner of the city. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we handle all the automation work that comes our way. The hallway can be a bit dark on cloudy days, but once you’re inside, it’s all business. We spend most of our hours looking at technical drawings or testing out different components. It's just a handful of us here, really. We try to keep things organized, though papers do pile up on the desks from time to time. The traffic noise from the street is something you just get used to after a week or two. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall nearby when things get slow. We don't really do big presentations or have a fancy reception area. It’s mostly just us working through the list of jobs for the day. Being near the college means there’s always people moving around outside. We like the location because it’s central enough for everyone to reach. It’s a simple setup, nothing more, nothing less. We just focus on the automation side of things and try to get home at a decent hour. It's a steady life here at 4 B Short Street.
