Indian Cleaners

If you are looking for Indian Cleaners, we are over at 222 Naskar Para Road in the Judge Bagan area of Haridevpur. It’s a residential neighborhood, so we get to know the families living on this street pretty well. Our shop is mostly filled with the sound of steam and the smell of fresh detergent every morning. There are rows of clothes hanging up in plastic bags, waiting for people to come pick them up after they finish work. I’ve been running this place for years, and my hands show it from all the water and heat. Dealing with stains and pressing shirts is repetitive, but there is a certain rhythm to it that I like. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we put things so nothing gets mixed up between customers. Sometimes the iron gets too hot and we have to take a break, or the water pressure is low, which slows us down. We have a small radio that plays local stations all day, mostly just to keep us company while we work. Haridevpur is a nice place, even if the roads get a bit crowded during the festivals. Most of our customers just drop their bags off and tell us to take our time. We don't use any high-tech machines, just the old-fashioned way of making sure things look decent again. My wife helps with the tags and sorting, which is a big help when things get busy.
