Basak Guinea Museum

Basak Guinea Museum is right on Rashbehari Avenue at number 171/2C. It’s a famous stretch of road in Kolkata, always full of life and the sounds of the trams passing by. We’ve been here for ages. Our place is more of a traditional jewelry spot than a modern gallery or shop. When you walk in, it feels a bit like stepping back in time. We have these heavy wooden cabinets and glass displays that have been here since the beginning. It’s not one of those huge, shiny showrooms you see in the new malls. We like it this way. It feels more personal and real. Rashbehari Avenue is always crowded, so once you step inside, the change in pace is actually quite nice. We spend our days talking to regular customers who have been coming to us for generations. Sometimes people just stop by to ask about the daily gold prices or to look at a specific old design we have. We don’t do big marketing campaigns or put up posters. We just stay here and do our work every day. The address is easy to find because everyone knows this part of the avenue. There's a certain way we do things here, very old-fashioned and honest. We might not have the latest high-tech gadgets in the shop, but we have years of experience. It’s just a small family-run feel in the middle of a very busy city. We take pride in being a part of this neighborhood for so long.
