Uma Exports (P) Ltd.

You can find us at Ganga Jamuna Apartments, over on Shakespeare Sarani. We are up on the third floor in Flat No. 31. It’s an apartment building, so it doesn't feel like a cold corporate office at all. Uma Exports (P) Ltd. has been here for a good while, and the neighbors know us pretty well by now. We spend our time managing exports, which involves a lot of sitting at desks and staring at screens, waiting for updates. It’s not particularly glamorous work, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy from morning until evening. The rooms are a bit crowded with files and samples we’ve collected over the years. Sometimes the hallway gets a bit cluttered too. We have a small team here, and we mostly just talk among ourselves about what needs to be shipped next or which client called five times in one hour. Shakespeare Sarani is a nice area, even if the traffic can be a nightmare during rush hour. We usually just stay inside and keep working until the street noise dies down a bit. There isn't any fancy lobby or a receptionist in a uniform. You just walk in, find Flat 31, and see us working. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the desk surfaces disappear under layers of paper. It’s just how we operate. We’re just regular people trying to do a decent job every day.
