Ankur Kala

Park Street is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it at 72B. Ankur Kala isn’t one of those flashy storefronts you see on the main stretches. It’s a bit more tucked away, which we actually prefer. The building is old, like a lot of places around here, and it has that specific smell of old stone and dust. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Most days, the sound of the traffic on Park Street is just a constant hum in the background. We spend our time working with our hands mostly. There’s usually some scrap materials or tools laying around on the tables. It isn’t the neatest place you’ll ever visit, but it’s where we get things done. People come in looking for something specific, and we try to help them find it. Sometimes the rain leaks a little bit near the window when there’s a big storm, so we keep a bucket handy. It’s just part of being in an old building. We aren't trying to be anything fancy or high-end. We just like what we do and we like being on this street. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down where we go when we need a break. It’s a simple life here at Ankur Kala. We show up, we work, and we go home. That’s how it’s been for years and how it will probably stay.
