Our office is up on the 7th floor, Room 7B, at 4 Chowringhee Lane. Being that high up gives us a bit of a view of the rooftops around here, which is nice when you need a break from the screen. Chowringhee is always buzzing, no matter what time it is. We do construction work, mostly planning and managing things from this small space. The elevator in this building is one of those old-fashioned ones that you have to close the gate on yourself. It works most of the time. The office itself is pretty simple. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets that are starting to overflow, and a water cooler in the corner. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows shut and the AC running. We aren't really the type to have a big polished lobby. People usually just knock and come right in. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at site photos. We’ve been here for a good while, and the neighbors on this floor are mostly quiet businesses like us. It’s a good spot because it’s easy to get to by metro. Sometimes we stay late when things get busy, but that’s just the nature of the work. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in the office at once, but we make it work.
