All India Transport Company

All India Transport Company is up on the 5th floor of 28 Black Burn Lane. It is an old building in a part of the city that is always moving. Downstairs on the street, there are people carrying loads and carts going by all day long. We have been here for years, and the stairs are starting to feel a bit steeper than they used to. Our office is where we manage the movement of goods across the country. There are a lot of logbooks and ledgers piled up on the desks because we still like to keep physical records of where the trucks are. The fans on the ceiling hum quite loudly, but we are used to it by now. We spend most of the day talking to drivers and agents over the phone. It can get quite loud in here when everyone is talking at once. We don't have any big flashy signs, just our name painted on the door. There is a small window that looks out over the rooftops of the neighboring buildings, which is nice when you need a moment of quiet. We keep a big water cooler in the corner because it gets very hot in the middle of the day. It’s a simple operation, just keeping the transport side of things moving along. We just deal with the paperwork and the phone calls as they come in. There is always a lot to do before the day ends.
