Our place, Thermogen Elevator Engineering Solution Pvt. Ltd., is on the ground floor of a building labeled E/E-20 in the Jyangra area of Baguiati. It’s a handy location because being on the ground floor means we don’t have to lug heavy elevator components up any stairs. The office is a bit of a mix between a workshop and a planning room. You’ll see blueprints spread out on the tables and maybe some cable samples or motor parts sitting in the corner. Baguiati is a busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside our door. Sometimes the rain gets quite heavy and we have to make sure the water doesn't seep in, but mostly it’s just a normal, busy workplace. We spend a lot of time discussing engineering problems and how to fix lifts that have stopped working properly. It’s not a fancy showroom, it’s more of a place where real engineering work gets done. There are usually a couple of motorbikes parked right outside belonging to our technicians who are coming and going throughout the day. We have a small corner for making tea, which is pretty much the heart of the office during our breaks. It’s a simple, hardworking atmosphere where we focus on the technical details of our projects without much fuss. We try to keep things organized but with so many parts, it gets messy fast.
