We operate out of Kolkata, specifically through Mintu Das’s place here in West Bengal. Being an engineering and foundry setup means things can get pretty dusty and loud, but that is the nature of the work. We’ve been around for a long time under the Crawley & Ray name. It's not one of those modern glass offices you see in the city center. Instead, we are tucked away in a more traditional part of town. The address is 700 027, which is a busy area where people are always rushing around. Our day starts early with a lot of paperwork and checking on technical drawings. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. They know we do honest engineering work. Sometimes the rain in Kolkata slows things down, especially during the monsoon months when the streets get a bit flooded. We just wait it out and get back to the machines. It is a small team here. We mostly talk about the projects over tea in the afternoons. It’s a practical way to run a business. We don't worry about being the biggest, just about getting the parts right. The office is full of old files and metal samples. It might look messy to someone else, but we know where everything is and how it all works.
