The Sonthalia Group

The Sonthalia Group is based out of an office in Kolkata on Prince Anwar Shah Road. We are in Flat No. B-2 at number 58/32. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy the road can be with the buses and the yellow taxis always honking. Our office is basically an apartment that we have turned into a workspace. It feels more like a home than a corporate building. We have desks in the different rooms and the kitchen is where we make the tea that keeps us going through the afternoon. There are piles of folders and papers everywhere because we handle many different things for the group from this one spot. The building is an older one, so you can hear the sounds of the street quite clearly through the windows. We have been at this address for many years now and the local shopkeepers all know us. We don't have a big sign or a fancy reception desk. Most people who need to see us just come up and knock on the door. We spend our hours going through accounts and managing the logistics of our various business interests. It is a very practical way to work. When the sun starts to set over Kolkata, the traffic outside gets even worse, so we often stay a bit later to let the rush pass. It is just the way we have always done things here, focused on the paperwork.
