The Orient Engineering Company

You’ll find The Orient Engineering Company at 118-F, Dharauntalla Street, in the Moulali area. It’s an old part of the city, and our building has that weathered look that comes with age. We’ve been here for a long time, and the street outside has changed quite a bit since we first opened the doors. We mostly do engineering work, repairing parts and helping people with mechanical problems. The shop is filled with the smell of grease and old metal. We have some heavy machinery that’s been with us for years, and it still runs better than the new stuff sometimes. There is a small counter at the front where we talk to customers. It’s usually covered in bits of paper and small parts. Moulali is a busy place, and there’s always a lot of foot traffic past our door. We aren't interested in being the biggest company or having the flashiest office. We just want to do a decent job for the people who come to us. We have our lunch together in the back room, usually talking about the news or what’s happening in the neighborhood. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just open up in the morning, do the engineering work that needs doing, and close up at night. It’s a steady life and we’re quite content with how things are at 118-F.
