The Best Computer

We have been running things here at 0.125 Roy Bagan Street for a good while now. It is a small space, mostly filled with boxes of parts and older monitors we keep for spares. Usually, the day starts with a cup of tea and checking what came in the night before. People drop off their laptops because the screens are cracked or the fans are making too much noise. We just sit at the back bench and get to work. It is not a shiny showroom like the ones in the big malls. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend more time looking at motherboards than the decor. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting at the same time. We try to keep things simple. If a computer is too old to fix, we just say so. There is no point in someone spending money they do not have to. Roy Bagan Street is a busy little area, and we fit right in with the other small shops. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a front desk person. Usually, whoever is free just wipes their hands and comes out to see what the problem is. It is a lot of troubleshooting and trial and error, but that is how it goes with electronics. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
