Down here at No. 48 on Kalinath Ghosal Road in Ariadaha, we spend most of our time around boxes and tape. Packaging is a noisy business if I am being honest. The machines run pretty much all day and you have to yell a bit to be heard over the hum. It’s an old building, tucked away, but it works for what we need. We handle a lot of cardboard and plastic wrap. My hands are usually dry from touching all that paper. We’ve got a small crew. Some of us walk to work since we live nearby in the Ariadaha area. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up during the afternoon break. It’s nothing special to look at, just a regular workshop with stacks of inventory reaching the ceiling. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow road here, especially when it rains and the puddles get deep. We’ve learned to deal with it over the years. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy things. We just make sure the packaging is strong enough so things don't break during shipping. It is a simple life and the work is steady. We close up around six most days unless there is a big order to finish. Then we stay late and order some food in. It's just us and the boxes until it's finished.
