Inside, it is a bit cramped because we have a lot of electrical equipment and files packed into the rooms. The Bee-Hive Gardens area is usually quite busy, and the sounds of the street definitely make their way up to the second floor. We spend our days looking over diagrams, handling engineering paperwork, and answering the phone when clients call in with questions. Kolkata can get very humid, so we usually have the fans going full blast while we sit at our desks. We aren't a huge team, so everyone knows exactly what everyone else is doing at all times. It is a very direct way to work. Sometimes we go downstairs to the local tea shop to get away from the screens for a few minutes and talk about things other than engineering. The 3rd Flat is where all the planning happens, and though it is a small space, it serves us well for the kind of electrical work we manage.
