Andrew Yule Company Limited

We’re located at Yule House on 8 Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sarani. It’s an old building with a lot of history in the walls. You can feel the age when you walk through the hallways. We’ve been around for a very long time, through all sorts of changes in the city. Our work covers a few different things like tea and some engineering stuff, but mostly we just keep the operations going from this central spot. It’s not like those new glass office buildings you see popping up. Everything here is a bit more traditional. We have heavy wooden desks and filing cabinets that have been here longer than I have. The ceiling fans hum all day during the summer. It’s a quiet kind of busy. People have been working here for decades, and we all know each other’s families and stories. We don't really do the whole modern corporate branding thing. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but that’s just how an old company like this works. Outside on the street, it’s the usual Kolkata chaos with the trams and taxis, but once you step inside Yule House, it feels a bit slower. We take our tea breaks seriously and we try to treat people right. It’s a steady place to work. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing our part and keeping the legacy alive as best as we can.
