A One Tropical Cooling & Engg Co is located down at 6/1, Akrur Dutta Lane in Bowbazar. If you’ve ever walked through those narrow streets, you know it can get pretty cramped and loud. Our shop is right in the middle of all that. We spend most of our time dealing with cooling units and engineering parts. It gets incredibly hot in this part of town, especially in the summer, so there’s always someone coming by with a broken fan or an AC unit that’s stopped working. We have tools scattered all over the benches and there’s usually some motor being taken apart. It isn't the cleanest place, but we know where everything is. The guys have been working here for years and they’ve seen just about every kind of machine you can imagine. We don’t have a big front office or anything polished like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is available. Sometimes the lane gets blocked by deliveries, so we have to carry things quite a way. It’s just how it goes in Bowbazar. We focus on the repairs and the technical side of things more than anything else. It’s noisy and greasy work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and try to fix what comes through the door. It’s been our home base for a long time now and we don't plan on moving.
