SUCHONA BUTIK LLP

We started Suchona Butik LLP over here in Jodhpur Park a while back. The shop is at 117/B and it is usually quite busy during the day. Most of us living in Kolkata know how hot it gets, so we spend a lot of time just trying to keep the place cool while we sort through all the new fabrics. There are always piles of clothes sitting around waiting to be finished or picked up by someone. It isn't a fancy place with big signs, just a regular spot where we get our work done. We see the same faces coming in and out of the lane every week. Some days the tea stall across the street is the only thing keeping us going when there is a lot of stitching to do. The address is easy to find if you are walking around the neighborhood. We don't really have a big team, just a few people who know how to handle the materials and keep things moving. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the main road, but we manage. You can usually hear the sewing machines humming from the street if the door is open. It gets a bit messy with threads on the floor and patterns pinned to the walls. We just try to keep up with what people want. It’s a quiet life here in this corner of the city, mostly just focusing on the next piece of work in front of us.
