If you are ever walking down Grant Lane, you might see us at number 7. We are Subhsidhi Infrastructure Private Limited. This little lane is tucked away but it is quite a central spot for anyone doing business in this part of town. Our office isn't anything too special to look at from the outside, but it is where all the work gets done. We focus on infrastructure, which basically means we are often looking at plans and talking to contractors about various projects. It can get a bit loud in here when everyone is talking at once, but we manage. Grant Lane has that old Kolkata feel to it that you don't find in the newer shopping malls. We like being here because everything is close by. Most of our days are spent on the phone or sitting around a table trying to figure out the best way to move a project forward. We don't use a lot of big words or try to act more important than we are. It is just hard work and making sure we stay on top of the details. Sometimes we go out for a quick bite at one of the stalls nearby. It is a practical way to run a business. We have a lot of papers stacked up on the shelves, but we know where everything is. It’s just how we operate and it seems to work out fine.
