Structurocrete Private Limited is based at 21 Amratolla Street in Kolkata. If you know that part of town, you know it is always crowded and full of life. The office is right in the middle of all that hustle. It is an old building, the kind you see all over this part of Kolkata, with thick walls and high ceilings that keep things a little cooler in the summer. We deal with structural work and concrete, so there is always a layer of dust on some of the old files, no matter how much we clean. The street outside is narrow and usually packed with people and small carts, which makes getting to work an adventure every morning. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with desks tucked into corners and calendars pinned to the walls. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team; we just have people who know how to handle construction materials. Most of our day is spent checking on orders or talking to contractors who stop by to pick up papers. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, but it works for us in this neighborhood. We drink a lot of tea from the shop downstairs and keep the fans running at full speed. It is a bit chaotic sometimes, but that’s just how things are on Amratolla Street, and we wouldn't really want to be anywhere else.
