We've been at 39 Kali Krishna Tagore Street for a while now, and it's a busy spot in Kolkata to be. The street outside is always packed with people and rickshaws, so there's never a quiet moment during the day. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular room with some desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. We spend our days mostly looking over property papers and talking to people who drop by. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving, even if they're a bit noisy. We aren't the type to use big, fancy words or have complicated meetings. Usually, we just sit around with a cup of tea and figure out what needs to be done next. The neighborhood is full of life, and we've gotten to know the other shop owners nearby pretty well. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit by the window for some light until it comes back on. It’s a very simple way of working, with no big corporate rules or mission statements to follow. We just try to stay on top of the paperwork and make sure everything is in order. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people visit at once, but we make it work. Just a local business doing its thing on a busy street.
