SSD Om Construction Private Limited is situated over in Manickpur, specifically near Thakurpara at LP 102/21/2. We are based in the northern part of Kolkata, out in Parganas North, zip code 700079. It’s a busy enough area, and we’ve been working from here for a while. Our setup is pretty basic. We have some chairs, a couple of old computers, and a lot of maps and site plans lying around. We aren't really into the whole corporate lifestyle. Most of us are more comfortable in boots and work clothes than in suits. We spend a lot of our time coordinating with different crews and making sure materials arrive when they are supposed to. It’s a lot of phone calls and a lot of driving back and forth. Sometimes the traffic in North Kolkata makes things take twice as long as they should, but that’s just life here. We don't have any fancy mission statements to tell you about. We just take on construction jobs and try to see them through to the end without too many problems. It’s hard work, and the days are usually long, but it’s what we do to keep things going. If you come by the office, you’ll probably find us mid-argument about a delivery or a deadline. It’s just the way we operate. No big secrets or polished images, just us working in Manickpur every day.
