We’ve been running things from Bangur Avenue for a good while now. It’s a busy spot in Kolkata, especially with all the cars and people moving around outside 113. Most mornings start with a lot of phone calls to check on where the shipments are. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist, just some desks and plenty of files stacked up. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stuff coming in, but we manage just fine. My cousin helps out with the accounts, and we usually have our tea together around four in the afternoon. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we get the work done. We handle the export side of things, dealing with a lot of paperwork and customs stuff that takes forever to clear sometimes. Some days are slow, while others feel like there aren't enough hours to finish. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, more shops opening up and the traffic getting much worse. But we like it here. It’s home for the business. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the orders get out when they are supposed to. There’s always something to fix or someone to call. That’s just how it goes for us at Spectra Exports. We aren't trying to be the biggest company, just trying to stay busy and keep our heads down. It's a lot of practical work.
