Sparsh

Sparsh is located at 141 Cotton Street, right inside the Satyanarayan Park A.C. Market. If you've ever been to this market, you know it can be a real maze. Our shop is just one of many, and it’s usually packed with boxes and people looking for things. It’s cool inside because of the air conditioning, which is a big relief from the heat out on Cotton Street. We deal with various items, mostly things people need for their homes or shops. The space is tight, so we have to stack things all the way to the ceiling. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. We spend most of the day talking to customers or checking the stock levels. It gets very busy in the afternoons when the market is full of shoppers. We don't have a big marketing team; we just rely on people walking by or folks who have been coming to us for years. Sometimes the elevator in the market breaks down and we have to carry everything up the stairs, which isn't easy. But it’s just part of being in an old building like this. We like the energy of the market and being right in the middle of all the trade. It’s just a basic business trying to do its part in a very busy city corner. We don't try to be anything we aren't, we just sell what we have.
