We set up Ddr Group Of Export right here in Sonarpur, specifically in the Ghasiara Purba Para area. It’s a local spot and most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless it rains hard. We mostly handle goods that need to go out of the country. It’s a lot of manual work and checking boxes. The office isn't much to look at, just a few desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on our feet in the warehouse area. It gets hot in the summer, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. Neighbors know us as the place with the trucks coming and going. We try to keep the noise down, but export work involves a lot of loading and unloading. Everyone knows everyone else around here. If we aren't at our desks, we are probably out back checking the latest shipment. It's straightforward work. No one wears a suit. We just wear what's comfortable for a long day of moving things around. Sometimes the internet is slow, which makes the digital side of exporting a bit of a headache, but we manage. It’s a family-run feel even if we aren’t all related by blood. We just focus on getting the crates out on time every week and making sure the drivers have their papers.
