We are based at 1/17 Prince Gulam Mohammed Road, right in Flat No. 7 on the 3rd floor. It’s a busy street in Kolkata, and being on the third floor gives us a bit of distance from the noise below. Soleil Constructeur Private Limited is just a group of us working on various building projects. The office is pretty small, honestly, but it serves us well for meeting with clients and keeping our files in order. There is always a lot of paperwork in this business, from permits to supplier invoices. We spend our mornings checking on sites and our afternoons back at the flat finishing up the administrative side of things. It’s a practical way to run a construction company. You won’t find any fancy lobbies or receptionists here. We just answer our own phones and handle the work ourselves. The neighborhood around Prince Gulam Mohammed Road is quite lively, which we like. There are plenty of places to grab a quick snack when things get busy. Construction work is hard and often unpredictable, but we like the feeling of seeing a building actually go up. It takes a lot of patience. Sometimes things go wrong with the supply chain, or the rain stops everything, but we just deal with it one day at a time. It's just a normal business run by people who know how the city works.
