Smilearth Exports

We are over at 21a Baishnabghata Lane. It is a bit of a walk from the main crossing. Smilearth Exports is where we spend most of our daylight hours. The name sounds fancy, but it is a pretty basic operation. We focus on getting goods ready to go abroad. There is a lot of wrapping and taping involved. The lane itself is mostly houses, so we try not to make too much noise. Our neighbors are mostly families who have lived here forever. You can hear kids playing in the street sometimes. Inside the office, we have stacks of paperwork and samples. It is a bit cramped, especially when a new shipment arrives. We started small and just stayed in this spot because it feels familiar. My morning usually starts with a coffee and a look at the emails. We do not have a big marketing department or anything like that. It is just us answering the phone and making sure the orders are correct. If something goes wrong, we just fix it ourselves. The lane gets a bit dark in the evenings, but we have a good light over the door. People know us by name around here. It is a simple way to make a living. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep the business steady and handle our exports without too much fuss. It is a quiet life on Baishnabghata Lane.
