Sikaria Agro Products Llp is based at 17A Ratan Sarkar Garden Street. If you’ve ever been to the 700007 area of Kolkata, you know how busy it gets. It’s one of those old parts of the city where the streets are narrow and there’s always something happening. Our place is right in the middle of all that. We deal with various agro products, mostly things that people need for their daily lives. The building we are in is old, but it has character. We don't have air conditioning in every room, so it gets a bit warm in the summer. We just keep the windows open and listen to the sounds of the street. It’s a very human way to work. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We buy products, we store them, and we sell them. It’s a simple cycle. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and we know most of the people who walk past our door. Sometimes people stop in just to say hello or ask for directions. We don't mind. It’s part of being a local business in Kolkata. We don't have a big corporate strategy. We just try to be fair and do our jobs well. Every morning we open up the shutters and get started. It’s a lot of work, but it feels right to be here.
