Located over in Bishnupur Kacharipara, which is part of Tarakeswar in Hooghly, our company is basically a bunch of farmers working together. The name we use is Agnibina Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited. If you need to find where we handle our business, we are at Prasenjit Konar’s place. It’s a quiet spot but we stay pretty busy with the farm stuff. Most of the folks involved here grew up right in this area. We know the land and the soil around Hooghly pretty well because we have been working it for a long time. Tarakeswar is known for many things, but for us, it is just home and where we grow our produce. We are not some big corporation from the city. We are just local people who decided to register a company so we could manage our farming a bit better. Sometimes we sit around and talk about the seeds or the rain, and other times we are dealing with the logistics of getting things moved. It’s practical work. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just grow what we can and try to make sure the farm stays productive. Having a registered office at Kacharipara gives us a place to keep the records straight. It is just a simple operation run by people who live right here in the village. It is not always easy, but we enjoy the work we do together.
