Signature Estate

Signature Estate is located at 17, R.N. Mukherjee Road. If you know Kolkata, you know this road is right in the thick of the old business district. The building is one of those classic structures that has been around for decades, with high ceilings and those heavy doors. We work in real estate, but we aren't the type of place that wears fancy suits and tries to give you a hard sell. Most of our day is spent looking over property deeds, talking to landlords, and helping people find a decent place to set up their own shops or homes. The walls are lined with maps and floor plans that are starting to yellow at the edges. It’s a bit noisy because of the trams and the honking cars outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write polished speeches for us. It’s just a few of us at our desks, answering the landline and writing things down in ledgers. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is good for the legs I suppose. We like being in this part of town because it feels like the real heart of the city. People drop in without appointments all the time just to ask about prices or to see if anything new has come on the market. It’s just regular life in the city office.
