Our place is at 12 Baidyanth Mullick Lane. If you know the 700007 area of Kolkata, you know the lanes are very narrow and always crowded. It’s the heart of the old business district. Siddhalakshmi Realty Llp is run from a small room here. We deal with property and real estate, but we do it in a very old-fashioned way. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here. Most of our work involves finding space in a city that is already full. It’s like a puzzle sometimes. We spend hours checking titles and making sure the land records are okay. It’s not flashy work. There is a lot of dust and the smell of old paper in our office. We drink a lot of chai and talk to people who want to buy or sell. We don't have a website with fancy photos. Usually, we just show people the sites in person. You have to walk a lot because the cars don't fit in these lanes anyway. We’ve been here long enough to know how things work in this part of Kolkata. We are just trying to make a living by helping people find a place to stay or do business. It’s straightforward. We aren't experts at marketing, we just know the local real estate market well. That’s enough for us and the people we work with every day.
