Shyama Polytex Private Limited is on the 9th floor of 5 Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sarani. Being up that high gives us a bit of a view of the Kolkata skyline, though we are usually too busy to look out the window. This is right in the heart of the city, near the old commercial districts. The pin code is 700001. We work with polytex materials. The office is a mix of desks and storage for samples. Since we are on the 9th floor, we depend on the elevators quite a bit. If they are down, it is a long walk up. The building is older, like many in this part of West Bengal. It has a lot of character, but also some leaks when it rains really hard. We have been running things from here for years now. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our work and go home. Our staff is used to the hustle of the city center. We get our shipments sorted and keep the paperwork in order. It is a professional enough space, but definitely not a luxury office. There is always a stack of files and some fabric pieces on the tables. We keep our heads down and focus on the day-to-day business of polytex.
