Shifa Heights Private Limited

Our small office is tucked away at 22/B Kali Krishna Tagore Street. If you’ve ever walked through this part of Kolkata, you know how packed and narrow the lanes can get. The 700070 area is full of history and old buildings. We operate Shifa Heights from here. It’s not a large operation. Usually, it’s just two or three of us handling everything from phone calls to site visits. The building we are in is older, with high ceilings and that specific smell of old paper and dust. We like it though, it feels like home. A lot of our time is spent looking at new heights—literally, working on building projects around the city. It’s a lot of back and forth with contractors and trying to make sure things get finished on time. We don’t have a fancy website or a bunch of salespeople. Most of our work comes from people who know us or have seen our signs at construction sites. We try to be straightforward with everyone. If a project is going to take six months, we say six months. There’s no point in making promises we can’t keep. It gets busy during the middle of the day, and sometimes we have to shout over the noise of the traffic outside to hear each other. By the evening, things quiet down and we finish up our paperwork. It’s a decent way to earn a living in a city we love. We often grab some tea from the corner stall while we wait.
