We are Shankar Heavy Infrastructure Ventures Ll and you can find us at 23 Gangadhar Babu Lane. We are in the Imax Lohia Square building, specifically on the second floor in Flat 2E. It is a bit of a busy area, but that is Kolkata for you. Our office is usually full of maps and technical drawings because infrastructure work requires a lot of detail. We handle the heavy stuff, which means a lot of big machinery and lots of logistics to figure out. It is not just about moving dirt around; there is a lot of coordination involved. The office is where we sit down to argue about schedules and budget stuff. It is a simple place, no fancy decorations, just what we need to get the job done. Sometimes we are out at the sites more than we are in the office. The heat can be brutal during the summer months, but the work has to happen anyway. We have a group of people who have been around the block and know how to manage a project from the ground up. We do not really do much advertising; we just rely on the work we have already done. It is about being there every day and making sure the equipment is working and the crew knows what they are doing. It is a tough business but we are used to it by now.
