Shalimar Hatcheries Ltd

Shalimar Hatcheries is located at 9, Ajc Bose Road. It’s a busy part of town, and our office is right in the middle of it. We deal with poultry and everything that goes along with that. It’s not always the quietest business to be in. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the farms and making sure the transport is on schedule. The office itself is pretty plain. We have a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of maps on the walls. We don’t really go in for modern decor. Most of us have been in the poultry trade for our whole lives. We know the birds and we know the market. Sometimes things go wrong with a delivery or the weather makes things difficult. We just deal with it as it comes. It’s not a job where you can just switch off. There’s always something happening at the hatcheries that we need to keep track of from here. We aren't big on fancy speeches or marketing brochures. We just talk to our customers and tell them what’s available. It’s a practical, down-to-earth way of working. Most people who come by are regular traders we’ve known for a decade. We like the consistency of being on Ajc Bose Road. It’s a lot of logistics and phone calls, but we’ve got a system that works for us after all these years. We just keep moving forward one day at a time.
