SARMASTAR GRIHA NIRMAN LLP

Our office is way up on the 10th floor of the Krishna Building on A.J.C. Bose Road. We take up suites 1001 and 1002, which sounds bigger than it actually feels when everyone is in there working. Being near Park Circus means there is always something happening outside, and the traffic is usually a mess, but being ten floors up helps drown some of that out. Sarmastar Griha Nirman is basically where we manage our construction projects from. We have a lot of folders, a few computers that have seen better days, and a lot of blueprints pinned to the walls. It’s a practical space. We don’t go in for fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We’re usually too busy talking to contractors or trying to figure out why a shipment is late to care about how the office looks. Working in Kolkata, especially around A.J.C. Bose Road, means you have to be ready for anything. We handle the daily grind of the building trade. It’s about getting the right people to the right place at the right time. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just show up, do the work, and try to make sure the projects we’re involved in get finished. Some days it’s quiet, and other days the phones won't stop ringing. It is just the way the business goes. We’ve been in this building for a while now and we know most of the people on the floor.
