At SACHISH BUILDINGS LLP, we share the space on the first floor of 5, Chittaranjan Avenue. This building has a lot of history, and you can see it in the thick walls and the high ceilings. It is right in the heart of the city's commercial hub. We focus on the actual structures and making sure the physical work gets done. My desk is right near the window, so I watch the buses go by while I’m on the phone. It is a noisy place to work, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have stacks of files going back years. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or checking on material costs. It isn't a glamorous job. There is a lot of dirt and dust involved when we go out to the sites. Back here in the office, it’s all about the details. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. People just walk up the stairs and knock on the door. Usually, there is someone there to offer them a glass of water. We’ve worked with the same group of guys for a long time. It feels more like a family than a company sometimes. The location is the best part because everything is within walking distance. We just keep our heads down and do the work that is in front of us.
