If you go down to the VIP Market in Kankurgachi, you’ll find us. S P B Engineers India is at P 187, in the LG 9 section, right off CIT Road. It’s a bit of a maze in the market if you aren't used to it, but we’ve been here long enough that we could find our way in the dark. We handle engineering parts and various technical supplies. It’s a dusty kind of job, dealing with metal and machinery all day. The market is always loud with people shouting and trucks unloading stuff. We don't have a fancy storefront with big lights. It's more of a warehouse feel where things are stacked up on shelves and we know exactly where each bolt is located. Kankurgachi is a busy part of Kolkata, and the traffic on CIT Road can be a real headache in the afternoons. We usually start our day early before the heat gets too bad. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to us for years. They know we don’t do much talk, we just find the part they need. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s slow and just watch the market life go by. It’s not a glamorous business, but engineering is important, and we like the practical side of it.
