You can find S-Gen Consortium Infra Private Limited over on J.B. Hazra Road, right near Jailkhana Road in Burdwan. The office is officially listed under the care of Sk Momin Hossain. Being in Burdwan is a bit different from being in the big city of Kolkata. It feels more connected to the ground here. We are located at A-12/2A and it’s a place where we do a lot of the heavy lifting for our infrastructure projects. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got some desks, a few cupboards for the blueprints, and a corner where we keep the site boots and helmets. It’s often a bit noisy because of the road traffic nearby, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We usually start the day by going over the schedule and seeing which sites need a visit. Sometimes we spend more time out in the field than we do behind the desk. Lunch is often a shared affair where we talk about the local news or how the crops are doing in the surrounding areas. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just have our names and this office on J.B. Hazra Road. It’s a practical life, and we wouldn't have it any other way. The work is hard, but seeing things being built makes it feel like we are actually contributing something to the town. We just keep our heads down and work.
