Roy & Co.

Roy & Co. has been operating out of 106/1/2 A.K. Mukherjee Road for a long time now. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty crowded with people and rickshaws going past the front door all day long. The building is older, with high ceilings and walls that could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We handle a bit of everything here, mostly just regular trading and keeping track of orders that come in from around the city. It’s a busy street, so there is always a lot of noise coming in from the window, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have any fancy brochures or a big sales team. Usually, it's just a couple of us sitting at the old wooden desks, answering the phone and writing things down in our ledgers. Sometimes the rain gets heavy and leaks a little near the entrance, so we have to move the boxes around to keep them dry. It’s just the way things are in this part of town. People stop by to chat or pick up things they need, and we try to help them out as best as we can. We don't really do anything flashy, just the basic work that keeps the business going week after week. It’s a steady life on A.K. Mukherjee Road and we like it.
