Roopdhara Infratech is based at 74/1 Cotton Street in Kolkata. This area is famous for being a huge trading hub, so it’s always incredibly busy. There are people everywhere and it’s constant noise from the morning until the evening. Our office is right in the middle of that chaos. We handle infratech work, which means we are often dealing with construction details and planning out different projects. The office itself is quite simple. We have a few desks, some chairs for visitors, and stacks of files that never seem to get smaller. We aren't into corporate culture or fancy titles. We are just a group of people working together to get things done. The heat in this part of town can be really intense during the summer months, but we have our fans running and we make do. Most of our business comes from people who know us or from other traders in the area. We don't do much in the way of advertising. We just focus on the work we have in front of us. It’s a very practical environment. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking over to meet people at nearby shops. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We’ve been on Cotton Street for a while and we don't plan on moving anywhere else. It is just home for us.
