You will find us at 30 Garfa Sitala Mandir Road. It’s a narrow street, typical of this part of the city, and the temple nearby is a big part of the daily life here. You can hear the bells and the people walking by all the time. Our place is quite modest, just a regular building where we handle our daily business. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have lived in this area for a long time. The work isn't anything glamorous; it’s mostly about staying organized and making sure our customers are taken care of when they walk through the door. The rooms are a bit small, and we have to stack things carefully to keep the place from looking messy. During the festivals, the road outside gets incredibly crowded, and it becomes hard to even bring a bike up to the entrance. We have a small wooden desk where we do all the accounts and a few chairs for guests. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. We like being part of this neighborhood because everyone knows each other. If we run out of milk for tea, we just pop next door to the shop. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we don’t feel the need to change it. We just show up every morning and do our work until it’s time to go.
