If you go up to the 10th floor of the Shubham building on Sarojini Naidu Sarani, you’ll find us in Room 1004. Ridhan Construction Private Limited has been based here in Kolkata for a bit. Being that high up gives us a decent view, but we’re usually too busy with paperwork to look out the window. Our work is pretty simple to explain—we build things. We handle the planning, the materials, and the people needed to get a project done. 1 Sarojini Naidu Sarani is a good central spot, even if the elevators are slow sometimes. We’ve got a small team, and we all know each other well. There’s no corporate hierarchy here; we just do what needs to be done to keep the business running. Most of our days are spent talking to contractors or making sure the budget hasn't gone completely off the rails. It’s a lot of practical stuff, not much of the fancy office lifestyle you see on TV. We deal with the usual Kolkata challenges like the monsoon and the humidity affecting our schedules. We just keep at it. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. We don’t go in for big speeches or glossy brochures. If something needs building or fixing, we figure out a way to do it. That’s really all there is to it. We just come in, do the job, and go home to our families.
