We are currently situated within the Bengal Engineering and Science University in Howrah. Our specific spot is C/O Prof. N. Nandi in the Applied M/C Dept. It’s a bit unusual being inside a university campus, but that is where Reliance Infocom Engg Ltd operates from. The atmosphere is very different from a standard business park. You have students walking to class and the sounds of the campus all day. The building is old and has that academic feel to it, with high ceilings and heavy doors. Our workspace is tucked away in the department, surrounded by books and technical equipment. It’s a bit cluttered and sometimes it gets a bit loud when there are lab experiments going on nearby. Howrah-711 103 is a busy district, but once you get inside the university gates, things quiet down a little bit. We work closely with the department environment and it’s been this way for a while. It’s not a fancy office with a lobby; it’s more like a functional room where engineering work actually happens. We have our desks set up among the various machines and tools. It’s a very hands-on place. We don’t have a lot of visitors, just people who have specific business with the engineering projects we are doing. It’s a unique place to spend our working hours.
