Our office is at 64, Peary Mohan Sur Garden Lane in Kolkata. If you’ve ever walked down these lanes, you know they can be a bit narrow and tucked away. Reliance Engineering Associates Pvt.Ltd. has its space right here in the middle of it. It’s an old building with high ceilings and thick walls that keep things a little cooler in the summer. We have some heavy wooden desks and filing cabinets that have been with us since the start. The lighting isn't the best, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. Outside, you can hear the sounds of the city, people talking, and the occasional horn from the main road. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of that. It’s just a room where we sit and work on our projects. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we end up talking more than typing. We make a lot of tea here, mostly because it’s the best way to take a break. We’ve got a lot of books and manuals stacked up on the shelves that we use for reference. It’s a bit of a dusty place, but it has character. We don't worry much about how things look as long as we can find what we need. It’s just us doing our engineering work in this corner of Kolkata, day in and day out, without much fuss.
