Regent Export

Our office is up on the tenth floor of Poddar Point on Park Street. Being in the Norm Block means we have a bit of a view of the city, though mostly we’re just looking at our screens. Park Street is always buzzing, so getting to work in the morning can be a bit of an adventure with the crowds and the traffic. Regent Export isn’t a huge operation. We have a few rooms where we handle the export side of the business. The air conditioning is usually running full blast because it gets quite warm up here. We spend a lot of time on the phone with customs and shipping agents. It’s a lot of waiting for things to happen and then rushing once they do. The elevators in this building are always packed during lunch hour, so we usually just bring our own food or wait until things calm down. We’ve got some old maps on the wall and a lot of filing cabinets that probably need a good cleaning out. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We focus on getting the details right for each shipment. The 10th floor is a good spot to be, even if the commute is a bit long sometimes. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily list of tasks. Most of us have been here long enough that we can tell what time it is just by the shadows on the street below.
