R P Engg. Works

Our shop, R P Engg. Works, is at Shop No-176 on Manicktala Main Road. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the buses and people walking by the market. We have been in this small space for years. It is crowded with our lathes and heavy benches, so there is not much room to move around once we get started. We handle a lot of small engineering jobs for the local people and other businesses nearby. Sometimes it feels like the whole city is passing by our door. The noise from Manicktala Main Road never really stops until late at night. Grease gets on our hands and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep it. It is just the nature of the work we do. We do not have a website or any big signs, just the shop number 176 painted on the front. Usually, people find us because they were walking past or someone told them we could fix a specific metal part. In the summer, it gets very hot in the shop, so we keep the fans running at full speed. We take our breaks when the work allows, usually grabbing a snack from one of the vendors on the street. It is a simple life, working with machines every day. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done. It has worked for us for a long time.
