Questqueen Infradev LLP is based at 8 BBD Bag East. If you know this part of Kolkata, you know it’s the heart of the old business district. The buildings here have that old-fashioned look, and ours is no different. It feels solid. Getting to work every morning involves navigating through the crowds of commuters coming from the station. We’ve got our office set up here because it’s central for everyone. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of tables and some chairs that have seen better days but are still comfortable enough. We don’t spend much on decorations because we are usually too busy with the files and the site plans. The tea seller downstairs knows most of us by name since we go down there quite a bit for a break. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, but we just manage like everyone else in the area does. It’s a standard routine of checking emails, making some calls, and sorting out the logistics of whatever project is on the desk that week. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. When people come by, they usually just walk straight into the main room where we all sit. It’s a very straightforward way of working. We like being in this part of town despite the traffic because it feels like things are actually happening around us.
