Pupun Land Developer Private Limited operates out of a ground-floor space in Daulatpur Sardar Para. We are officially C/O Ramesh Sardar, and you can find us near the Kuler Dari GP. This part of South Parganas has a very local, almost rural feel even though we are still part of the broader Kolkata area. Our office is very simple, just a room with some desks and a lot of cabinets for all the land records we have to keep. Developing land involves a lot of walking around and talking to people in the neighborhood. We don't have a big corporate sign, just the name on the door so people know they have the right place. Most of the time, you will find us drinking tea and going over site plans or legal papers. The atmosphere is very relaxed but we stay busy. Since we are on the ground floor, people often just pop their heads in to say hello or ask a quick question about a plot nearby. It’s a lot of paperwork and many trips to the local government offices to get things verified. We don’t try to make things sound more complicated than they are. We just look at the land, figure out what can be done with it, and work through the process step by step. It is steady work that keeps us connected to the soil and the people living around here.
