PROFABTEX LLP

We are based on the 7th floor of the building at 7/A, Elgin Road. Profabtex LLP occupies Flat 7A, so you have to take the lift up to find us. Elgin Road is a pretty well-known spot in Kolkata, and being up on the 7th floor gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the traffic down below. It’s a decent-sized office, though we have a lot of samples and documents taking up the corners. We spend most of our time coordinating with suppliers and checking on orders. The atmosphere here is pretty relaxed, even when we’re busy. We aren't really into the whole corporate culture thing; it’s just a bunch of us making sure the business runs the way it’s supposed to. Some days the elevator takes forever, so we end up chatting in the lobby. Inside the office, it’s mostly desks and computers. We handle a lot of the technical side of the textile trade from this flat. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the folders and boxes around. We’ve been at this Kolkata address for a while now. People come by for meetings or to drop off samples, and we just fit them in around the stacks of paper. It’s a functional space that works for what we need to do. We don't bother with fancy signs or anything like that. Just a simple name on the door and a lot of work.
